A brief history of my time
In 2005, I completed a master's degree in Art Therapy/Counseling while living and working in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Having combined a life long love of art with a passion for psychology I used my degree in working at a variety of settings including a residential trauma and addictions treatment center, community mental health clinic, and several drug and alcohol treatment programs. I have worked with individuals, families, couples, groups, as well as doing art therapy groups in a juvenile detention center. I have been working independently for the past 11 years.
Before starting my professional career, I operated a painting contracting business for several years, and I have worked extensively in the natural foods area. I was also an owner/worker in an organic whole grains bakery collective where I first learned the importance of cooperative interdependence.
I have lived in a variety of locations and climates from Wisconsin to Santa Fe, from New Orleans to California. I have recently returned from living in northern Montana for two years. Most of my time has been spent living and working in Oregon which I love and call home without hesitation. Throughout my travels I have continued to explore the connection between creativity and personal growth to meet the challenges that we all experience.
